Student Testimonials:
“Petey is the real deal, an actor’s actor who has forgotten more than most of us can ever hope to know about the craft. Her Monologue class is no soft soap intro. Students prepare, practice, and polish their own monologues within stress-testing audition simulations; leaving with tools they can take into the real world. This is stuff you need…and stuff you will use.”
-Peter Strupp, Cave Creek

“Petey is an excellent and very knowledgeable instructor with a wealth of information that she willingly passes along to her students….she is respectful of her students; always patiently answering their questions; and creating a safe learning environment with no intimidation. I have over 40 shows on my resume, in three different metropolitan areas, and I have learned things from Petey’s classes that I know will make me a better actor.”
-Bruce Heskett, Scottsdale

“Recently, I took Petey’s class, “Slaying the Monologue Monster,” and what a wonderful experience it was! Petey is a fantastic teacher…with years of “real theater” experience, and when she teaches, it shows. One of the things that helped me most were the audition tips. Auditioning can be scary, especially when you don’t know what to expect. Petey was able to answer all questions, including many we hadn’t thought to ask! The monologue is every actor’s nightmare, but after taking this class, it’s my dream come true! I feel very prepared after Petey showed us how to find age-appropriate pieces, how to analyze a monologue, and even how to create a perfectly timed one with careful editing. Petey opened my eyes to the fact that performing a monologue is simply a wonderful opportunity to perform, and show any audition panel how talented I am!”
